Of Mt. Vernon Died
At Age 77
Beulah G. Morgan, 77, Route 1, died 2:20 p.m. Jan. 3, 1989, at
Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Mrs. Morgan was born July 7, 1911, in Mr. Vernon, a daughter of William James and
Pearl May (Marshall) Richardson. Aug. 19, 1931, in Fairfield, she married the
Rev. George R. Morgan, who survives.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Reynolds
officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Morgan is survived by three daughters,
Mrs. James (Betty) Copple of Joliet, Mrs. Gene (Juanita) Ayers of Champaign and
Mrs. Herman (Barbara) Wilson of Mt. Vernon; three sons, George R. Morgan, Jr.,
Wayne Morgan and wife, Verla, and Paul D. Morgan and wife, Shirley, all of Mt. Vernon;
15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, the Rev. William Richardson of
Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Ruth Walters of Mt. Vernon and Charlene Smith of Frankfort, Ind.;
one sister-in-law, Margaret Richardson of Jamestown, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Russell Richardson.
