Isaac W. Morgan

Isaac W. Morgan, 60 of Dix, died at 10 am yesterday at Centerville 
Township Hospital in Centerville. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday at the Osborn Funeral 
Home in Dix with the Rev. Louis Robert officiating. Burial will be 
in Boyd Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, where the body 
will lie in state after 6 pm today. 

A heavy equipment operator, Mr. Morgan was born in Jefferson County, 
Feb. 18, 1911, the son of Bob and Rosa (Wells) Morgan. He married in 
Mt. Vernon Jan 25, 1946, to the former Margaret Harvey, who survives. 
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Terry (Judy Faye) 
Hayes of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. David (Becky) Burton of Dix; one brother, 
L.P. Morgan of Marinez, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Vertice Cockram of 
San Lorenzo, Calif; and Mrs. Kate Lewis of Herrin; and one granddaughter, 
Kiowana Kaye Hayes of Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death by two 
brothers.
