David D. Morgan
David D. MORGAN was born in the city of Cordiff, Wales,
Oct. 6, 1833; died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. M. E. DYCUS in Woodlawn, on Feb. 16, 1915;
age 81 years, 4 months, and 10 days.
He came to America with his parents in 1854. He was a member
of the Woodlawn Baptist church.
Surviving are 3 children: Dave of Springfield, Ill., Mrs. M. E. Dycus
and Arthur of Woodlawn; also 3 step children: T. H. Smallwood of
Rostscoat, Kansas, Mrs. Lizzie GOOD of Woodlawn and Will SMALLWOOD
of Panama, with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The remains were taken to Patoka, his old home, and laid beside his
wife who preceded him to the better world twenty-two years ago.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. KELLEY at the Baptist church
at Patoka, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m.
