Bertha Mohr

Bertha W. Mohr, 97, formerly of Peoria, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept.
19, 2010, at her daughter's residence in Woodstock, Ill.
She was born Aug. 3, 1913, in Mount Vernon, Ill., to Albert and Lula May
Hicks Williams. She married Irvin P. Mohr on Dec. 24, 1939, in St.
Louis. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1973, in Peoria.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother; one grandson,
Eric Schneider; one niece; and one nephew.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Jerrold) Welch
of Woodstock and Sharon Helen (Leon) Schneider of Mapleton; 12
grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in Peoria.
She and Irvin lived on East Seneca Place for many years. She moved to
St. Francis of the Woods Assisted Living in Peoria and later to her
daughter's home in Woodstock.
She was a loving mom and grandmother. She was an excellent cook, a
beautiful sewer and an artist. She loved going downtown with her friend
once a week and listening to Helen Trent on the radio.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at the Wilton
Mortuary in Peoria. The Rev. Canon Ralph Stanwise will officiate.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to visitation at the mortuary.
Entombment will be in Springdale Cemetery Mausoleum.
