Maude Lisenby Minor (nee Burke)
Maude Minor, 83, of Route 6, Mt. Vernon, died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday
at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1893, in Jefferson County, the daughter of
John L. and Flora B. (Hyre) Burke. In 1910 she married Charles Lee Wolfe,
who died in 1919. In 1923 she married Frank Lisenby, who died in 1943.
On Oct. 30, 1946, she married Jesse V. Minor, in Fairfield. He
survives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Osborn Funeral
Home in Dix, with the Rev. Bee Hale, of Bonnie, officiating. Burial will
be in New Home (Lowery) Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Minor is survived by her husband, three sons, Stanley P. Wolfe,
Amboy, John Wolfe, Michigan City, Ind., and Edwin B. Wolfe, Ashley; seven
step-daughters, Evalo Friesner, Salem, Verna Cross, Peoria, Christine
Hatfield, Tulsa, Okla., Ruby Coates, Hardin, Ky., and Louise Hayes, Mt.
Vernon, Doris Hohenstein, Roscoe, and Zelma Coates, Hardin, Ky.; 22
grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren;
two sisters, Lela Donoho, Salem, and Cecil Donoho, Dixon.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Minor was preceded in death by one step-son,
three brothers and two sisters.
