Betty Pauline Minor
            
Betty Pauline Minor, 82, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 7:35 P.M.,  Monday, April 14, 2008.
            
She was born in Mt. Vernon on Sept. 14, 1925, a daughter of James Albert and Anna Mae (Stonecipher) 
Minor.  She married Burrell Minor on June 28, 1946, at Zion Methodist Church, and he preceded her in 
death on June 6, 1993.  She was a bookkeeper.
            
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix with the Rev. Elton Storey 
officiating.  Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
            
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
            
Betty is survived by nephews, James Richard Minor and wife Laina of Fresno, Calif., Donald Lee Minor 
and wife Gwen of San Ramon, Calif., and Melvin Ray Minor and wife Pat of Mt. Vernon;  and two nieces, 
Barbara Fletcher of McLeansboro and Nancy Meadows and husband Joe of Boyd.
            
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, James, Richard, Robert and George Minor.
