Gabriel Parks Miller

Gabriel Parks MILLER, retired employee of the Mt. Vernon Car Manufacturing 
Company, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday at his home, 1017 Park Avenue, at the age of 
82y14d. Mr. MILLER was a lifetime resident of Mt. Vernon and a charter member 
of the Epworth Church. He retired from work at the car company in 1941 where 
he was employeed for 50 years.

Mr. MILLER was born March 10, 1864, to G. P. and Margaret M. (RAGAN) MILLER and 
was married in 1906 to the former Nellie DOWNEY who survives. He leaves three 
daughters, Marguerite MILLER, Mrs. Alice SHEWMAKE of Mt. Vernon, and Nettie Eleanor MILLER 
of Centralia; four grandchildren, and a half sister, Mrs. Minnie IRVIN of Belle Rive.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Fred PROPST at Myers Chapel Tuesday at 
10:30 a.m. and burial will be in Old Union Cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel.
