George W. McDuffy
 
George W. McDUFFY, a retired farmer, died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday at his home in Woodawn.  
His age was 86y5m20d.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Baptist 
Church in Woodlawn, with the Rev. Sam McCOY officiating, and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. 
Cemetery at Woodlawn.  Services by the I.O.O.F. lodge will be conducted at the grave.  
The body will remain at Myers Chapel whre friends may call after 1:00 p.m.

Mr. McDUFFY was born May 19, 1859 in Washington County, IL, the son of Andrew and Emily 
(McCOY) McDUFFY. He was married to Harriett HANEY, who preceded him in death on August 5, 1947.  
He was a member of the Baptist Church and the I.O.O.F. Lodge at Carlyle.

Surviving are two sons, Marshall McDUFFY of Woodlawn and Lloyd McDUFFY of Lee Center, IL; 
three daughters, Miss Bessie McDUFFY of Woodlawn, Mrs. Florence SECHREST of Mt. Vernon and 
Mrs. Harriett HEILIG of Harvey, IL; two brothers, the Rev. J. R. McDUFFY of Ewing and 
Tim McDUFFY of Sandoval; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
