Minerva McCraw Dies At Age 86; Rites Saturday
Mrs. Minerva Gibbs McCraw, of the Benton Road, died at 8:30 a. m. today at
Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 86 years, two months and four days.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p. m. at Myers Chapel and burial
will be in Bethel Memorial cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where
friends may call after 10 a. m. Friday.
Mrs. McCraw was born April 13, 1868 in Hamilton county, the daughter of John T. and
Mary E. (Phillips) Gibbs. She was married to Owen C. McCraw, who preceded her in death
December 6, 1949. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Kniffen of Mt.
Vernon, Mrs. Clara Rogers of McLeansboro and Mrs. Dora Cooper of Dahlgren.
