Mae McConnaughhay; Iuka

Mae McConnaughhay, 50, of Route 2, Iuka, died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday at 
Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 
2 p.m. Friday at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, with Grant Hawkins officiating. 
Burial will be in McConnaughhay cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 
after 6 p.m. today. 

Mrs. McConnaughhay was born Jan. 13, 1926. at Richview, the daughter of 
Tom and Martha (Brazel) Campbell. She married Rex McConnaughhay July 27, 1964, 
in Mississippi. He survives. Other survivors include two step-daughters. 
Dixie Blankenship of Iuka and Shirley Cusumano of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren 
and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Campbell of Kell and 
Tom Campbell and Alfred Campbell, both of Centralia; and a half-brother, 
Ben Campbell of Centralia.

Note: Mae McConnaughhay is buried at Howell Cemetery Jefferson County, IL. 
There is a funeral marker for her in that cemetery.
