Venetta Renay Maxey

Venetta Renay Maxey, 40, of Belleville, passed away 6:14 a.m. 
Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at the Belleville Memorial Hospital. 

Venetta was born July 31, 1975, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of 
Charles and Crystal (Lane) Maxey. She graduated From Mt. Vernon 
Township High School. She was a member of the Belle Rive Missionary 
Baptist Church. She loved shopping trips with her mom. Venetta enjoyed 
drinking soda. 

Venetta is survived by her parents, Charles and Crystal Maxey of 
Belle Rive; two brothers, Jason Maxey and wife Pam of Texico and 
Lance Maxey and special friend Tiffany Becker of Centralia; two nephews, 
Logan and Drake; four nieces, Katelyn, Amy, Kelsea and Matilin; and also 
several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harvey and Betty Lane; 
and paternal grandparents, Donald and Geraldine Maxey. 

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Newell Funeral Home 
in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Jeremy Hamson officiating. Interment will follow 
at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Woodlawn. Visitation will be held 
on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. For more
