Mildred Martin

Mildred “Millie” Martin, 89, of Mt. Vernon died 5:21 p.m. 
Sept. 22, 2002, at her home.

She worked for many years at the Mt. Vernon Knitting Factory. Ms. 
Martin was born Aug. 19, 1913, in Dongola to Owen and Bertha (Lingle) 
Martin. 

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethel 
Memorial Cemetery. Those attending this service are asked to go directly 
to the cemetery Saturday. The Rev. Everett Lemay will officiate. 
There will be no visitation. 

Ms. Martin is survived by one sister, Nina Warren of 
Orlando, Fla.; one niece, Phyllis Byers of Orlando, Fla.; one nephew, 
David Warren, of Orlando, Fla.; and several great nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Martin; 
and a niece Delores Campbell.
