Mary Ellen Marshall

Mrs. Mary Ellen MARSHALL, of 311 Castleton Ave., died at 5:45 p.m. 
Sunday at the home of her daughter Bertie STEWART, 1621 S. 12th Street.  
She was 90y1m23d of age.  Funeral arrangements were incomplete today.  
The body was taken to Myers Chapel.  

Mrs. MARSHALL was born July 5, 1865 in Spring Garden Twp., the daughter 
of John and Caroline (ATCHISON) ALLEN.  On September 3, 1882, she was 
married to George Benjamin MARSHALL, who preceded her in death April 6, 1942.  
Mrs. MARSHALL was a member of the Hams Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Vivus MARSHALL of Kingsport, Tenn., and 
Jarvis MARSHALL of Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. Carrie SAPP and 
Mrs. Addie PICKETT of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Bertie STEWART of Mt. Vernon; 
12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
