Richard Reed Marlow

Dies in Accident; Rites at Marlow

Raleigh E. Marlow, of Marlow, has received word of the death of his 
grandson, Richard Reed Marlow, 25, in a car accident at Rapid City, 
South Dakota.

He was the son of George and Wilma (Johnson) Marlow, former Mt. Vernon 
residents who now live in St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held at the Marlow Methodist church, Marlow, 
Ill., at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday and burial will be in Black Oak Ridge 
cemetery.

The body will arrive at the Marlow church at noon Wednesday.

Besides his parents, Mr. Marlow is survived by a sister, Sandra Thon of 
Sedalia, Mo.; his grandmother, Mrs. Stella Johnson of Effingham; one 
nephew and one niece.

According the his gravestone at Black Oak Ridge Cemetery, Richard Reed 
Marlow died in 1961.
