Ulla Marshel
ULLA MARCHEL, 64, Sims, fied at 4 a.m. in his home. Mr.
Marshel was a retired farmer and timber worker.
He was born in Sims Aug. 31, 1915, the son of Monroe Parker and
Phoebe Ellen (Ash) Marshel. On April 28, 1934, he married Alma Smith,
who survives.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Richardson
Chapel in Wayne City with Brother H.H. Mayberry officiating. Burial
will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m.
today at the chapel.
Besides his wife, Mr. Marshel is survived by three sons, Duane,
Leland "Pete" and David, all of Fairfield; five daughters, Vada Kennedy
of East St. Louis, Patricia Cisne of Hanover Park, Mary Ellen Marshel
of Sims, and Ruth Young and Doneta Colclague, both of Fairfield; three
brothers, Roser of Anderson, Ind., Strouder of Rochelle and Tom of Sims;
three sisters, Lula Thomason, Mt. Vernon, Bernice Brown, McLeansboro,
and Elroe Manning, Anderson, Ind.; 18 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
