Marvin Mannen

The Mt. Vernon Register News published the following on Wednesday, 
July 5, 1972 which read:

Marvin Mannen, 59, died last night in Houston, Texas.  Mr. Mannen, 
who resided in Houston, was a former well kown resident of Mt. Vernon. 
A retired printer, he was a former employee of The Register News.  

Funeral arrangements were incomplete this morning. The services will 
be held in Houston.  

Mr. Mannen was born February 13, 1913 in Jefferson County. The son 
of Hardy and Alma (Dodds) Mannen. He was married to Anna Katherine Davis, 
who survives. Also, surviving are three sons, Dave of Tampa, Florida and 
Mak and Charles, both of Houston, Texas; his mother, Mrs. Hardy Mannen 
of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Mrs. Anna Ruth Scherer of Mt. Vernon; 
and seven grandchildren.
