In the Mt. Vernon Register News published on 
November 2nd and 3rd, 1954

Mrs. Daisy B. Manley died at 4:20 a.m. today at the Stull 
Nursing Home, at the age of 74 years, eight months, and six days.  

Mrs. Manley was born February 26, 1880 in Jefferson County, the 
daughter of James L. and Millie A. (Troutt) Winfree. She was married 
to George W. Manley, who preceded her in death May 8, 1943.  

Funeral arrangements wee incomplete today.  

Mrs. Manley is survived by two sons, William R. and J.R., both 
of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Mrs. Beulah Small of Parker, Indiana; 
one brother, J. L. Winfree of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Hogue 
of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Lillian B. Burnett of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 
and two grandchildren.
