Wm. A. Lisenby Funeral Friday
William A. Lisenby, 65, died at his home, 917 S. 10th street, early
Sunday night, after an illness of several months. He was 65 years, nine
months and 12 days of age.
Funeral services will be held at the Nazarene church in Mt. Vernon at
2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in East Salem cemetery. The Rev. E. C.
Hester of Galesburg will be in charge of the rites.
He was born in Jefferson County, the son of James and Flora Belle
(Short) Lisenby. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, the former Addie Mae Yearwood; two
daughters, Mrs. Mable Hunt of Woodstock, Ill., and Mrs. Verneda Whitson of Mt.
Vernon; three sons, Woodrow of Mt. Vernon, George of McHenry, Ill., and
Fordyce of Chicago. Also surviving are two brothers, Frank and Arthur
of Mt. Vernon and three sisters, Mrs. Nelle King, Mrs. Almeda Yearwood,
and Mrs. Stella Humphrey, all of Mt. Vernon.
The body is at the home, 917 S. 10th street, where friends may call
