Ruby E. Kittinger

Ruby E. Kittinger, 85, of Mt. Vernon died 11:08 p.m. Nov. 10, 1999, 
at Mt. Vernon Care Center. Mrs. Kittinger was employed with the Mt. 
Vernon shoe factory for several years, and was a private care giver and sitter. 

She was born July 4, 1914, in Mt. Vernon to Joe and Rose Ann (Taylor) Hensley. 
She married Charles Kittinger Jr. on April 19, 1952, in Mt. Vernon; he survives. 

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Memorial Cemetery, 
with the Rev. Don Rector officiating. Those attending the services are asked to 
go directly to the cemetery on Saturday afternoon. Friends may call from 5 to 8 
p.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home. 

In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, JoAnn Melena of 
Mt. Vernon; a son, Paul Edward Byers and wife Linda of Sweetwater, Texas; five 
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Mrs. Kittinger was a member of Westside Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Billie Joe Byers; 
four sisters; and one brother.
