Anna C. Kabat

Anna C. Kabat, 99, of Scheller, passed away at 3:45 a.m. Friday, May 
26, 2006, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Nashville. She was a 
homemaker. She was a member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Scheller 
and the St. Barbara Sodality. 

She was born July 19, 1906, at Tamaroa, the daughter of Albert "George" 
and Anna Barbara (Walchowski) Majewski. She married Marion Kabat on 
Sept. 4, 1928, at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois; he preceded 
her in death on Aug. 26, 1984. 

She is survived by her nephew Melvin Kabat and wife Louise of Scheller and 
several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and four sisters. 

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Barbara 
Catholic Church in Scheller with the Rev. Daniel Jurek officiating. Friends 
may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa. 
Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. 
Interment will be in the St. Barbara Cemetery at Scheller. Friends may make 
memorials to Masses or to the St. Barbara Cemetery and they will be
