Ida E. Jones

Mrs. Ida Jones of 209 south Sixth street died at 11:40 pm 
yesterday at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 82 years and 
two months old.
            
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday at Myers 
Chapel. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. The body will 
lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 
2:00 pm tomorrow.
            
Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 14, 1878, in Dix, the daughter 
of Allen and Francis (Raynar) Maxey.
            
In Mt. Vernon, on Sept. 30, 1900, she was married to 
Henry W. Jones, who survives.
            
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Walter Pilson of 
this city; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Rose of Caseyville and 
Mrs. Gertie Grimes of St. Louis; and a grandson, Ted Alan 
Pilson of this city.
            
She was preceded in death by three children, two sisters, 
a brother, and her parents.
            
Mrs. Jones was a member of Epworth Methodist Church.
