Norman L. Jones

Norman L. Jones, 74, Belle Rive, died 7:30 a.m. Aug. 14, 1999, 
at his home. Mr. Jones was a retired farmer. 

He was born Oct. 28, 1924, in Jefferson County, a son of John Braxton 
and Alma (Phillip) Jones. He married Roberta Denham, who preceded him 
in death. He later married Beulah Gibbs, who also preceded him in death. 

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren, with 
the Rev. Richard McCormick officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Vernon 
Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at 
Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. 

Survivors include two sisters, Wilma Capps and husband Norman of Belle Rive 
and Alma Jean Phillips and husband Bill of Kentland, Ind., and several nieces 
and nephews. Mr. Jones was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member 
of American Legion Post 1193 in Bluford. He was a Protestant. 

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents,
