Of Mt. Vernon Died
At Age 20
David Lewis Jolly, 20, Route 1, was found 6:25 a.m. Aug. 15, 1990,
after drowning in Rend Lake.
Mr. Jolly was employed by Trujillo Drilling Co. of Casper, Wyo.
He was born Oct. 14, 1969, in Belvidere, a son of Gary L. and Linda (Morgan) Jolly.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home with Grant Hawkins officiating.
Burial will follow in South Hickory Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Jolly is survived by his parents both of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Gary L. Jolly Jr.
and wife, Vicki, and Benny R. Jolly and wife, Sheila, all of Mt. Vernon; one sister,
Sheila Jolly of Mt. Vernon; grandmother Opal Morgan of Mt. Vernon; stepgrandparents
Willie and Vivian Pitman of Dix; great-grandmother Addie Vaughn of Okmulgee, Okla.; and
several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Jolly attended Moores Prairie Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of
Ducks Unlimited and the Flint Knappers Club. He attended Mt. Vernon Township High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lewis Morgan and Orbe Jolly.
Memorials may be made to Ducks Unlimited and will be accepted at the funeral home at any time.
