Joy L. Johnson

Mrs. Joy L. Johnson, 83, Waltonville, died at 5:15 p.m. Thursday 
at Good Samaritan Hospital here.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Fry Funeral Chapel 
in Waltonville, with the Rev. Merritt Strickland officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will be in Minson Cemetery northwest of Waltonville.

Mrs. Johnson was born March 27, 1895, in Jefferson County, the daughter of 
Charles and Laura (Newell) Lemmon. She married Everett Johnson, who died in 1932.

She was a Protestant.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by three sons, Williard Johnson of Pinckneyville, 
Arthur Ray Johnson of Mt. Vernon; and Marvin Johnson of Sesser; one sister, 
Mrs. Glada Johnson of Waltonville; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
