Wilma L. Jenkins

Wilma L. Jenkins, 94, of Mt. Vernon died Aug. 26, 2004, at 
Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor. 

She was born June 25, 1910, in Mt. Vernon, a daughter of 
Martin and Della (Tribble) Henn. She married Cecil Jenkins 
Aug. 26, 1928; he preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1969. Mr. 
and Mrs. Jenkins owned and operated Jenkins Market on Perkins 
Avenue in Mt. Vernon for many years. They had two sons. 

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by a daughter-in-law, Melba Jenkins of 
Mt. Vernon; two granddaughters, Terri Allali of Mt. Vernon and 
LoLetta Pasley and husband David of Mt. Vernon; great-grandchildren 
Myles, Sam, Amber and Darl; a great-great-grandson, A.J.; a grandson 
and five great-grandchildren, all in Texas; and a niece, Karen Stalion 
of Indiana. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Jack 
Jenkins; a brother; and two sisters. 

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Memorial 
Cemetery, with the Rev. Merle Fullerton officiating. There will be 
no visitation. Those attending the service on Saturday are requested 
to meet at the cemetery. Johnston Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon is in
