Julia Ann Irvin

Julia Ann Irvin died at 6:15 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Harriet 
Irving, 1704 Casey Avenue, at the age of 87. She was a member of the First 
Methodist Church. Mrs. Irvin was born September 8, 1857 in Athens, Ohio, the 
daughter of Cyrus and Eliza {Dye} Hughes. On October 18, 1877 she was united 
in marriage to Wilford F. Irving who preceded her in death November 30, 1891. 

She is survived by a son, Dr. Cyrus H. Irving of Champaign, four daughters, 
Miss Harriet Irving, Mrs. Omar Browning, Mrs. Wlater A. Browning of Mt. 
Vernon and Mrs. Perry T. Chase of Wayne City. Ten grandchildren and four 
great- grandchildren also survive. A son, Frank G. Irving also preceded her 
in death. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Clyde Todd at Myers 
Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 2. The body will remain at Myers Chapel 
where friends may call after noon Sunday.
