Elizabeth Irvin
Mrs. Elizabeth IRVIN, was born in Hardin Co., Ohio, Aug. 22, 1837,
died at her home in Opdyke Jan. 31, 1903, of apoplexy.
Age 65 years 5 months 9 days.
She came to Illinois with her father's family when she was sixteen
years old. Was educated in Ohio and Mt. Vernon, Ill., schools, and
taught several terms. While attending school in Mt. Vernon she was
converted and joined the M. E. church and has since lived a true
Christian life. She was a loving mother, a faithful friend and good
neighbor.
She was married to John A. IRVIN in 1862; to this union five children
were born. Her husband and two children, Willie and Charley, preceded
her to the better world. She leaves three children, Mrs. J. C. BROUGHER,
Frank and Rose IRVIN, three grandchildren, Irl, Gussie and Hilton BROUGHER,
and other relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
