Fred Denham Funeral Sunday at Sugar Camp
Fred Denham, 68,of Belle Rive, died Thursday in the
Mt. Vernon State Tuberculosis Sanitarium.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at
the Sugar Camp Baptist Church near Dahlgren, with which
he was associated. The Rev. Rudolph Schlag will officiate.
burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Gholson Funeral Home in
Dahlgren, where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Saturday.
Mr. Denham as born August 13, 1893, in Franklin County,
the son of John and Theodosia (Shelton) Denham.
Survivors include four sons, Harry (Lovell) Denham of Belle Rive,
Harvey (Mary) Denham of Channahon, Ill., Vernon (Edna) Denham of
Joliet, Ill., and Herbert (Barbara) Denham of Woodridge, Ill.:
Three Daughters, Daisy (Matthew) Kehrer of Joliet, Ill., Laura
(Arthur) Schlag and Roberta (Norman) Jones of Belle Rive, Five brothers,
Omer and Orville of Ewing, Ira of Benton, Wesley of East Alton, and Earl
of Nebraska. Four sisters, Flora Sileven, Faye Frost, and Ethel Smothers
of Benton, and Pearl Boyer of Ewing.
