IROQUOIS COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY was organized in 1970 as a "working division" of the IROQUOIS COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY, a non-profit, tax exempt corporation. BENEFITS TO MEMBERS: QUERY POLICY: DUES: There are special rates for people living outside the U.S. Life memberships are available - please inquire. It is not necessary to live in Iroquois County to be a member. The Library is located at 103 W. Cherry, Watseka, IL 60970-1524 and is open to the public Monday-Friday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm CST/DST whichever prevails in the county. Closed only Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's and weekends. Research by trained members of the society is available. A source index search for 1 family name is $20.00, plus $.25 a page for copies and $.50 a page for microfilm/fiche copies. Additional research charges may apply for more indepth searches plus the cost of documents and postage.
