Would like info on Zadock NEEDHAM and Thomas Sheperd NEEDHAM. They were both in Civil War and Zadock was mustered out. Can not find lead on Thomas. However, my father (their nephew) always told me that his uncle Tom was killed at Ft. Pillow. Can not verify that.The father of Zadock and Thomas was James Needham (married to Polly Frailey) and I am also trying to find info on him - his father's name, where he lived before living in Cave In Rock, etc. I can go no further with this family line without knowing James Needham's father's name. I'm looking for Mary Spear b. 1859 in Ogle County, IL. She married 1873 to John William Stubbs. They divorced. In an 1887 newspaper article about her I found she had remarried a Morgan (no first name found). In part the article reads" AUG 14, 1887: Mr. and Mrs. Morgan arrived here from Hardin County. They report the hay crops almost an entire failure. Mrs. Morgan is the daughter of John Edward Spear." Does anyone know of the MORGAN'S who would have been in Hardin County in the late 1880's???
