DIETZ posted by Shane Dietz on Saturday, June 6, 1998

I am researching the DIETZ side of my family. I have traced back to my great-great grandfather Adinus (Adlenas) also known as John Atlas Dietz. He came from Hessen, Germany in 1865 and settled first in Posey Co, IN and then in Gallitan Co where he is buried. His brother was Henricus (Henry) Dietz. I have connected the two because they had the same parents listed on their marriage cetificates, and they are both buried in the St. Joseph Cemetary in Ridgeway. Joannes Walter Dietz and Annae Mariae Dietz listed as parents. Any information on either Adlinus "John Atlas" or Hericus "Henry" would be greatly appreciated. Also, if they had other siblings. Information on any of the following people would also be appreciated: Francis "Frank" Dietz (son of Adlinus) married Katie Walton Lawrence Dietz (son of Frank) William "Bill" Dietz (son of Frank)
