QRYTEXT: My great-grandparents were Charley B. TAYLOR and Jennie Francis WOODFORK. They once lived in Gallatin County, ILLINOIS and were married there on November 5, 1883. I am at a standstill to learn anything about their parents. I know from his death certificate that his father's name was John Taylor, born in VIRGINIA. His mother's name is given as Mary, born in ILLINOIS. We believe Charlie was born in ILLINOIS, and a cousin vaguely recalls that Jennie may have been born in LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY. My grandmother was born in SHAWNEETOWN, ILLINOIS in 1892. Around 1900 they migrated to the Indian Territory where Charlie was admitted to the Masonic Lodge around 1908. He was also a member of the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows. He was killed in Farris, Atoka County, OKLAHOMA in 1913. They had children named George Michael TAYLOR, Patrick TAYLOR, Maude TAYLOR (CLEBURNE), Emma Eathel TAYLOR (BROWN), Helen TAYLOR (also BROWN-- they married brothers), and Jean TAYLOR (ROMAN). Jennie WOODFORK is even more difficult for me than Charlie. I've been unable to get a clue as to the names of her parents. Hope someone else out there is also working on this, and might be willing to help me out. Shirley
