Perna L. Wirey, 49, Stoy, Illinois died Sunday May 5, 2002 at her residence following an apparent heart attack. Perna was born in Lawrenceville, Illinois on September 10, 1952 and was the daughter of William Wirey and Louetta (Moore) Wirey. Perna was a factory worker and a waitress. She moved into the area in 1960, previously living in the Bridgeport and Pinkstaff areas.
Perna is survived by a daughter Paula Perrine, 5 brothers and sisters-in-laws Kenneth & Debbie Valle, William & Jeannene Wirey, Marlin Wirey, Keith & Rita Wirey and Kirk Wirey; 2 grandchildren; 2 sisters and brothers-in-laws Betty & Robert Schlosser and Billie & Greg Bowen; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Perna is preceded in death by her parents and second husband in 1986.
Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery, rural Birds, Illinois.
