Geneva Irene Watts, 88, of Robinson, IL, died at 12:15 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson after several months of failing health. She was born October 12, 1918 in Hutsonville, IL, the daughter of Samuel F. Bowen and Edna Jane Wesner Bowen.
She was a homemaker and a life-long Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church, Robinson.
She married John T. Watts on October 17, 1941 and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Leolin and Leonard Bowen; 1 sister, Vivan Buix; and an infant great-grandson, Shane Williamson.
She is survived by 2 daughters and her son-in-law, Carol Jeanne Watts, Robinson, Linda and James Grieves, Robinson; 3 grandchildren, Dara and her husband, Kevin Williamson, Robinson, Michael Weaver, Indianapolis, IN, John Weaver, Robinson; 4 great grandchildren, Kristopher Wilson, Stephen Beatty, Jacob Weaver, and Braden Williamson; her brother, Willard Bowen of Colorado Springs, CO; her sister, Ruby Dean Davis, Olney; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family graveside services will be held for the family following cremation at the Robinson New Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Geneva will be greatly missed by her friends and family. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
