Prof. W. R. Stone of Vermillion, formerly of this place [Hutsonville], was in Merom in attendance at commencement exercises at the college. Saturday word was brought to Hutsonville of Mr. Stone's illness of Bright's Disease, his condition then being considered critical. A representative of the local Woodman Camp, of which Mr. Stone was a member, in company with Adam Weller, drove over to Merom and made provisions for his care, Mr. Weller remaining as nurse. He suffered a relapse yesterday afternoon and died at 7:34 pm. last evening. Funeral services were conducted by the Woodman Camp of this place at Merom Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
