Hubert F. Shipman, 72, Oblong, Illinois, died Monday September 2, 2002 at 10:05 p.m. at Crawford Memorial Hospital Robinson, Illinois. He was born in Hardinville, Illinois on April 16, 1930 and was the son of Arthur Edwin Shipman Sr. and Rosa Martin. Hubert had been associated with Lawrence Crawford Association for Exceptional Citizens Robinson, IL. and was a member of First Christian Church, Oblong, IL.
Hubert is survived by 2 nephews John & Elizabeth Hatteberg & Randall Shipman;a niece Rachel & Ronald Harders and a step niece Shirley & Harold Coulter.
Preceding Hubert in death were his parents, 3 brothers Ray, Vaness and Arthur Edwin Shipman Jr. and two sisters Mildred Shipman and Sylvia Hatteberg.
Graveside services were held and burial followed in Hardinville Cemetery.
