Ollie M. Rich, 88 of Duncanville died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at her home. She was born April 16, 1919 in Palestine, the daughter of Everett Higgins and Flossie Espy Higgins. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Duncanville Baptist Church.
She married Franklin Rich on November 28, 1936 and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1987. She was also preceded in death by parents; her grandson, Bart Rich; her brother, Roy Higgins, and her sister, Myrtle Bogard.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Shirley Rich, Hobart, IN; her daughter and son-in --law, Sandra and Harold Bailey, Burleson, TX; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Fred Jr. and Ann Sue Rich, Hobart, Mike and Betsy Rich, Hobart, Larry and Karen Rich, Hobart, Debbie and Jim Tannhauser, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, David Stotlz, Las Vegas; 14 great- grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 20th at 2:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Brother Mark Carpenter is in charge of services. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and until service time on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Duncanville Baptist Church.
