Dorothy E. Reynolds, 82, Lakewood, Colorado formerly of Yale, Illinois, passed away Wednesday January 19, 2005 at University of Colorado Hospital, Denver, Colorado. Dorothy was born February 8, 1922 in Bridgeport, Illinois and was the daughter of Noah Meeks and Mabel (Stowers) Meeks. On July 9, 1939, she married Virgil Reynolds, who preceded her in death on February 22, 2004. Dorothy worked for the Ettlebrick Shoe Factory in Casey, Illinois for 28 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Yale Methodist Church and her hobbies included gardening and canning.
Dorothy is survived by four sons and daughters-in-laws Donald & Elaine Reynolds, Kenneth & Maria Reynolds, Virgil Reynolds and Bobby & Sue Reynolds; six daughters and sons-in-laws Dorothy & Terry Goble, Alice & Onnie Diaz, Sharon & Rick Goldman, Margaret Goble, Opal & Roger Keys and Virginia Robinson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers Lester Meeks and Pearl Meeks; three sisters Mary Kussmaul, Norma Meeks, and Thelma Chestovich; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her parents; husband; one son Ronald Reynolds; two great-grandchildren; four brothers Clarence, Earl, Charles and Lawrence Meeks; and one sister Helen Timm all preceded Dorothy in death.
Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery
