Donald D. Reinoehl, 68, of Palestine, IL, died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at his residence. He was born August 2, 1935 in New Hebron, IL, the son of Gale Reinoehl and Thelma Mae Bayne Reinoehl.

He was a laborer with the Labor Local #1280. He served in U. S. Army. He was a member of the Flat Rock American Legion#132, Palestine Eagles, and former member of the Robinson Moose Lodge.

He married Nadine Wallace on March 18, 1977 and she survives. He is also survived by 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly Mae Akerboom, O'Fallon, IL, Marcy and Tyler Lowrance, Robinson, Penny Reinoehl, Palestine, and Elizabeth and Louis Chiodini, O'Fallon, MO; 3 step sons and spouses, Greg and Lisa Siverly, Hutsonville, Douglas Siverly and Todd Siverly, both of Oblong; 9 grandchildren, Rachel Nicole Akerboom, Jessica and Gabe Lowrance, Anthony Dean Pittenger, Heather Lynne and husband, Chad Rich, Hailey, Elliot, and Macey Newlin, and Nicole Chiodini; 3 step grandchildren, Daylon and Kennon Siverly and Leanna Siverly; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Carol Reinoehl, Robinson, Chuck and Karen Reinoehl, Robinson; sister and brother-in-law, Rheta Ann and Larry Waldrop, Robinson; and sister-in-law, Dixie Best, Oblong.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Jimmy Reinoehl, Bayne Reinoehl, and J. R. Best; 1 sister, Patsy Ramsey; and a step grandson, Trevor Siverly.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 30th. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Tom Cooperider officiating. Military Graveside services conducted by local military organizations will follow in the Walnut Prairie Cemetery, rural West Union. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospital Lincoln Trail Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
