Elizabeth Rich Phillippe, 82 of Robinson, IL, died at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Saturday May 28, 2005. She was born December 24, 1922 in Flat Rock, IL, the daughter of Loy Rich, Sr. and Elizabeth Bradbury Rich.
She was a homemaker and a member of the South Union Church.
Elizabeth married Kent Phillippe on February 26, 1941 and he preceded her in death in April 23, 1975. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Doris Staley and Elsie Wesley.
She is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Philip E. and Patty Phillippe, Anna, IL, Allen Kent Phillippe, Robinson, Dr. Loy Richard "Rick" and Dianne Phillippe, Champaign, IL; 1 grandson; 1 granddaughter; 2 great grandsons; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, Loy Jr. and Carol Rich, Robinson, Harry and Phyllis Rich, Palestine, Leo and Brenna Rich, Pinkstaff, Warren and Kay Rich, Flat Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31st at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Rev. Burl Rich is in charge of services. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and until service time on Tuesday. Burial is in the Tohill Cemetery, rural Flat Rock.
