Mabel A. Mullins, 96 of rural Robinson, IL died at 5:10 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at her home. She was born December 12, 1910 in Robinson, the daughter of Isaac Quick and Bertha Wilson Quick.

She was a homemaker; an 80-year member of the Robinson First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, where she held several positions during her lifetime; a member of the Singing Disciples; a past member of the Crawford County Home Extension; and a 4-H Club leader for 10 years.

Mabel married Edmund M. Mullins on March 10, 1931 and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Richard Mullins; her sister, Maxine Minnick; brother-in-law, Albert Minnick; two brothers, Keith and Ward Quick; her son-in-law, Floyd Umbarger; and her granddaughter-in-law, Jodi Mullins.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Umbarger, Hammond, IN, Linda and Ray Newbold, Ruston, LA, Joyce and John Maurer, St. Elmo; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Beverly Mullins, Hutsonville; a brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Dorothy Quick, Robinson; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Quick, Robinson and Frances Mullins, Washington State. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and their spouses, Twyla (Donald) O"Brien, David (Melanie) Umbarger, Leigh (Charles) Smith, Scott Mullins, Monty (Bobbi) Christine, Tommy Newbold, Sarah (Gary) Hampton, Kimo Mullins, and Suzette (Brian) Russell; two step grandchildren, Jamie Jones and Brad (Megan) Maurer; fifteen great grandchildren, Jason (Gina) O"Brien, Justin (Beth) O"Brien, David (Candy) Umbarger, Jr., Chad and Ashley Umbarger, Camron Christine, Elizabeth and Matthew Smith, Laken and Victoria Hampton, Elvis, Jesse and Kobe Russell, Benjamin James Mullins, and Audrey Mullins; her step great grand daughter, Kaehla Maurer; four great-great grandchildren, Jasmine O"Brien, David Umbarger III, Alexandria and Hannah Umbarger; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 3rd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Rev. Rob Rixman and Rev. Tom Akers are in charge of services. Burial is in the Kirk Cemetery, rural Robinson. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2nd at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robinson First Christian Church Disciples of Christ or to the Lincoln Land Hospice, with envelopes at the funeral home.
