Earl E. Moade, 78 of Robinson, IL, died at 12:07 pm Friday, July 20, 2007 at his home after an extended illness. He was born December 12, 1928 in Honey Creek Township, Crawford County, IL, the son of Ray Moade and Mary Hoke Moade.

He was a General Maintenance Foreman at Marathon for 37 years, retiring in 1986. He was an avid woodcarver and belonged to the National Woodcarvers Association. He was a coach and umpire for Robinson Pee Wee baseball. He also followed the St. Louis Cardinals and loved fishing.

He married Marion Fortney on January 11, 1947, and she survives. He is also survived by his two daughters, Dianna Lynn Kibler, Cottageville, South Carolina and Marsha Stanfield, Palestine; his son and daughter-in-law Leslie and Rhonda Moade, Robinson; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Earlene Brashier; his sister, Raydell Ashley; his granddaughter, Amanda Brashier; and his great-granddaughter, Kaylee Bennington.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 24 at 2:00 pm at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Reverend Shane Bopp in charge of services. Burial will be in Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-7 pm on Monday July 23. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
