Naomi Ruth Miller, 80, rural Palestine, passed away at 5:55 a.m., October 6, 2005 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Born January 9, 1925, in rural Palestine, she was the daughter of Vern and Ruby Kincaid Browning. She was a lifelong member of Pleasant View Church, active in Women's Fellowship and all church activities, a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, and the James Halstead Sr. Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was the beloved wife of Glen E. Miller, whom she married October 30, 1942, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Clifford Adams, of Palestine, two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Sharon Miller of Palestine and Doug and Pat Miller of Greencastle.

She was the proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and their spouses. They include Chris and Kristy Adams of Roy, UT, Kirk and Tangela Adams of Roanoke, TX, Gayle and Brent Zaring of Robinson, Peggy and Satoshi Setoguchi of Renton, WA, Tammi and Jason Wesner of Palestine, Dana and Bob Locke of Carmel, IN, Susan and J.D. Trimble of Robinson, Kristi and Scott Zane of Robinson, Lathe and Nicole Miller and Keith Miller of Indianapolis, IN, and Erin Miller of Greencastle and great grandchildren consisting of Jacob, Kelly and Emily Adams, Megan, Logan, Cole and Lance Wesner, Garrett and Jordan Locke, John Caleb Trimble and twin Zane babies due October 18, a brother-in-law, J. Robert Maddox, Denver, CO, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clarence and Marjorie Miller, Palestine, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helen Maddox and a brother Vance Browning.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 9th, at the Pleasant View Church, rural Palestine, with Rev. Paul Gettinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, October 8th at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the Light House Mission, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
