Frances Geraldine "Gerri" Miller, 89 of Terre Haute, IN, formerly of Crawford County, IL, died at the Harbor Side Heath Care Center in Terre Haute Saturday, October 9, 2004. She was born February 14, 1915 in Pinkstaff, IL, the daughter of John Steele and Mary Selby Steele. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20 years, a member of the Robinson Free Methodist Church and was active in the Humane Society.
Gerri married Harold J. Miller on July 26, 1951 and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Steele.
Survivors include, her daughter and son-in-law, Sherrill and Ron Rich, Terre Haute; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Wendell Kaiser, Lawrenceville, her brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Beverly Steele, Havana, IL, a sister-in-law, Mary Steele, Ft. Worth, TX; 2 grandsons, Jeffery Rich, Ft. Myers, FL and Jonathan and his wife Laurie Rich, Germantown, TN; 6 great grandchildren, Jeremy, Cortney, and Kelsey Rich, all of Terre Haute, IN, Ashley, Spenser and Hunter Rich, all of Germantown, TN.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 12th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Pastor Jack Andrews is in charge of services. Burial is in the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock, IL. Visitation is from 1:30 p.m. Tuesday until service time at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society with envelopes at the funeral home.
