Earnest L. "Ernie" Menacher died Friday January 5, 2001 at his residence from heart complications. He was born in the Bend area of Jasper County, Illinois. He was the son of Frank Joseph & Ancona Mae "Connie" (Goss) Menacher.
On August 29, 1952 he married Geneva Riegle. Ernie was a retired registered Ford Technician and Mechanic at several area garages. He also farmed. Earnest was a faithful and loving companion. He was a dedicated, hard working family man who was proud of each member of his family. He shared and enjoyed the friendship of many people. He enjoyed traveling, country music and reading.
He is survived by his wife Geneva; 3 Sons & Daughters-In-Laws Steven & Janet Menacher, Ron & Debbie Menacher and Rick & Suzanne Menacher; 1 Daughter and Son-In-Law Janet & Eric Matheney; 13 Grandchildren Nathan, Carrie, Kelley, Tina, Harley, Robbie, Taffie, Dain and Ancona Menacher, Erick & Hannah Matheney, Michelle & Tommy Andrews, Randy Stevenson and Karen Allen; 4 Great Grandchildren Mikayla Kuranoff, Halee Puckett, Avery Miller and Mackenzie Andrews.Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Grandson (Joshua Menacher) and 2 Great Grandsons (Dallas & Dalton Andrews).
Burial will be in Bend Cemetery.
