Lorena "Faye" Meeker, 80, of Robinson, IL, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 at Crawford Memorial Hospital. She was born January 20, 1925 in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Claude E. Williams and Mary P. McRae. She worked in the restaurant business in Robinson for 40 years at the Sugar Bowl, Persimmon Lounge in the Woodworth Hotel, Crutchfield's, Sky Scraper, and the Cedar Room in Hutsonville. She worked for 25 years as a waitress at the Elks Lodge in Robinson. She was a member of the BPOE Women of Elks Lodge #1188, the BP&W, and the First United Methodist Church.

She married Herbert E. Meeker July 27, 1958 and he preceded her in death October 30, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother Norman Williams; a sister, Rowena Nash; and brothers, Harvey, Walter, Huey, and Johnny Williams.

She is survived by her 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, David Lee Meeker, Marshall, IL, Herbert E. II and Cheryl Meeker, Mattoon, IL; her daughter and son-in-law, Alice Faye and Jeff Mikeworth, Robinson; 4 grandchildren, Samantha Faye Mikeworth, Kenzie Leigh Mikeworth, Tammy Lynn Mikeworth, and T. J. and his wife, Kelly Hill, all of Robinson; and 2 great grandchildren, Walker and Ivy Dunlap, both of Robinson; 4 sisters, Shirley Speth, Vincennes, IN, Imogene Morris, Louisville, KY, Glenda Williams, Atlanta, GA, Norma Lucas, Linton, IN; and 2 brothers, Glendon Williams, Newburgh, IN and Donald Williams, Washington, IN.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. Robert Foulk officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Ladies of Elks or to the Elks Children's Christmas Party with envelopes available at the funeral home.
