Edythe Marian McCord, 88 of Robinson, IL, died at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005 at her home. She was born December 24, 1916 in Oblong, IL, the daughter of Hugh Fleenor and Cora Lee Kaylor Fleenor. She was a sales clerk at Bertram Pharmacy for 25 years and was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Robinson.
She married Charles W. McCord on December 31, 1938 and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Edythe is survived by 3 children and their spouses, Mary and Jim Kindt, Robinson, Ron and Kate McCord, Robinson, and Lynn McCord, Robinson; 4 grandchildren and their spouses, Amy and Matt Cooper, Crawfordsville, IN, Julie and Brett Berry, Indianapolis, IN, Bill and Lisa McCord, Robinson, and Jamie and Eric Harmon, Robinson; 4 great grandchildren, Charles William McCord, Elizabeth McCord, Amanda Arnold, and Shay Berry; and her sister, Mildred Parker, Robinson.
Funeral services are Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Rev. Bill Wiggs, Jr. is in charge of services. Burial is in the Oblong Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and until service time on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Otterbein United Methodist Church, the Clothing Center Workshop, or to the American Cancer society.
