Edward Margewich, 80, of Robinson, IL, died at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at his residence. He was born April 22, 1925 in Chicago, IL, the son of Stanley Margewich and Johanna Pocus Margewich. He was a carpenter and worked construction. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69, the Carpenters Union Local 54, Chicago, and the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Robinson.

He married Doris Sappingfield May 25, 1966 and she survives. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Loretta and Robert Collins, Gary, IN, Eddie Margewich, Jr, Ashkum, IL, Ronald and Linda Corie, Blissfield, MI, Glen Margewich, Hilton Head, SC, Dan Corie, Lansing, IL, Alison and Bob Henry, Orland Park, IL; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents,1 brother, and 1 sister.

Memorials services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2005 at the Otterbein United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill L. Wiggs, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at the Hardinville Cemetery Monday, November 14, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
