Gretchen Goodwin Lingafelter 88 Annapolis, IL. died Monday October 9, 2000 at 5:55a.m. at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center in Robinson, IL. Gretchen was born April 20, 1914 in Crawford County, Illinois. She was the daughter of Johnny & Essie (Markwell) Goodwin.
On March 8, 1930 she married Otto Basil Lingafelter who died April 5, 1984. Gretchen was a school bus driver for Hutsonville School District #1 for 29 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Church rural Annapolis. She loved plant and work both vegetable and flower gardens.
Gretchen is survived by several Nieces & Nephews. Locally she is survived by Olen "Chappy" Chapman, Ira Bowman, Sterle Lingafelter, Erland Lingafelter, Glain Lingafelter, Elaine Napier, Bonnie Kay Hawkins and Roberta Cunningham; Sister-In-Law Geneva Beauchamp; Brother-In-Law Leland Bowman.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband,
Brother (Laviear Goodwin); and two Sisters Mildred Bowman and Hazel Chapman.
Burial is in Mt. Pleasant cemetery rural Annapolis.
