Martha E. Hughes, 90 of Hutsonville, IL, formerly of Palestine, died November 22, 2005 at Crawford Memorial Hospital. She was born September 24, 1915 in LaMotte Township, IL the daughter of Virgil and Esther (Alexander) Hughes. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Palestine.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James Thomas & Rita Hughes, Palestine; 3 nieces and nephews, David Hughes, Palestine, Nancy Kincaid, Palestine and Diana Hughes Davis, Mt. Pleasant, MI; several cousins including a special cousin, Beverly Mullins, Hutsonville who cared for her in recent years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother David Hughes in infancy.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 25, 2005 at Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery. Friends may call before the service Friday, from 9-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Palestine, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
